The electronic cigarette: Also known as “e-cigs,” “vapor pens” or “digital smokes”, as well as personal vaporizer (PV) or electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS).  The e-cigarette has a rechargeable battery, refillable cartridges and a heating element, but does not emit a smell or smoke which is attractive to those trying to quit paper cigarettes. However, it does emit an aerosol, which is inaccurately referred to as vapor.
