Southern Hospitality. World-Class Nursing Care.

2015 ANCC National Magnet Conference attendees share innovative nursing best practices

Thank you for visiting with Lippincott Solutions at the 2015 American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) National Magnet Conference!  “World-Class Nursing, Innovative Patient Care” was the theme of this year’s event, which was held from Oct 7-9 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

Growing larger each year, the ANCC 2015 National Magnet Conference drew more than 9,000 of the best and brightest nurses and nurse leaders from around the country, who facilities are ANCC Magnet-designed or still on the ‘journey to Magnet.’  This year’s conference attendees enjoyed plenary sessions focusing on inspiring the nursing profession, importance of eliminating nursing errors, nurses as hospital decision-makers, and building a healthy workplace that drives leadership and staff engagement.  The ANCC 2015 National Magnet Conference also featured hundreds of concurrent educational sessions that provided attendees with first-rate education on components of the Magnet Model, such as structural empowerment, transformational leadership, new knowledge, innovations and improvements, and exemplary professional practice.

This year’s participants also enjoyed numerous opportunities to meet and network with peers and colleagues from throughout the U.S. and other parts of the world.  One of the conference highlights was a Welcome Party at the Georgia Aquarium, which is the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere and one of largest in the world.  Conference attendees had the chance to see hundreds of diverse fish and marine species firsthand while enjoying local cuisine, followed by the annual ANCC Magnet Awards Ceremony.

The conference was sponsored by ANCC and co-hosted by the following Georgia Magnet facilities: Atlanta VA Medical Center, Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital, Emory University Hospital, Medical Center Navicent Health, St. Joseph’s / Candler, and University Hospital.

Many thanks to these esteemed organizations for hosting and providing everyone in attendance with some authentic Southern hospitality!

Lippincott Solutions continued as a proud conference exhibitor and sponsor once again this year!  We’d like to personally thank the hundreds of ANCC 2015 National Magnet Conference attendees that visited our booth!  In addition to a fabulous array of prizes and giveaways, we once again featured free caricature drawings which continued to be extremely popular.  Below are some pictures of the nurses who stopped by and sat for their caricatures:

In addition to the live caricature drawings, we brought back the camera and spotlights via our popular video ‘testimonial’ booth that allowed conference attendees to share their favorite features of Lippincott Solutions products which entered them in a drawing to win a stylish Michael Kors ™ handbag.  Other prize offerings consisted of raffle drawings for 3 Up Jawbone ™ fitness bands to lucky attendees, and a post-conference raffle giveaway of a $100 gift card.  And, we also gave out several hundred of our new 2015 Inspired Nurses calendars, pens, and sleek flash drives featuring our latest product information.  A list of all contest and drawing winners will be posted on this page in the very near future.

We would also to recognize the Lippincott Solutions customers that presented educational sessions at this ANCC 2015 National Magnet Conference.  Thanks again to these individuals for sharing their valuable insights and inspiring their colleagues to achieve clinical nursing excellence:
