Professional development

Lippincott’s Patient Safety Program aligns to The Joint Commission's goals and standards while discussing how to enhance communication among caregivers and patients, highlight the appropriate steps for patient identification, improve medication safety, encourage patients’ active involvement in their care, identify patients at risk, recognize changes in a patient’s condition, and reduce the risk of patient falls and health-care associated infections. We also review the Universal Protocol, where we discuss pre-procedure verification processes, marking the procedure site, and performing a time-out.

Address today’s most compelling and problematic patient safety issues while ensuring regulatory compliance with Lippincott’s Compliance and Patient Safety Programs, a series of patient safety and staff development e-courses.
