Renewing Commitment to Pediatric Nursing

Thank you for visiting the Lippincott Solutions booth at the Society of Pediatric Nurses (SPN) 24th Annual Conference. “Blazing Trails to Improve Child Health” was this year’s conference theme, held April 10-13 at the DoubleTree Resort in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ.

Expert pediatric clinicians and academic educators gathered from around the U.S. to share best practices in education, use of evidence-based practice, research and leadership.  This year’s conference featured a diverse selection of dynamic educational sessions, concurrent and interactive breakouts, and an expanded poster presentation area that included materials from both students and new nurse resident section.

The nearly 500 attendees enjoyed the sunny, warm Arizona climate and sophisticated hospitality of the DoubleTree Resort while learning from inspiring and energetic guest speakers who discussed overcoming their own challenges to provide quality care and outcomes in pediatrics. Motivational speaker John O’Leary kicked things off by sharing his story of survival as a childhood burn patient, and was followed by Joanna Kaufman who discussed the importance of pediatric-patient and family-centered care. Other notable speakers were Janet Myers (and therapy dog Bentley), and Colleen Ketenhofen who spoke of the importance of ‘patience with patients.’

Lippincott Solutions was a proud exhibitor and advertiser at the SPN 2014 Conference and wishes to thank everyone that stopped by our booth!

Planning is already underway for next year’s 2015 SPN Annual Conference, which will take place in Anaheim, CA (dates and location TBD) and mark the 25th Anniversary of SPN. Stay tuned for further information from SPN, coming soon!

We would also like to thank our Lippincott Solutions customers who presented concurrent educational sessions at the SPN 2014 Annual Meeting. Thanks very much to these individuals for sharing their valued insights and experiences, and helping inspire attendees to achieve excellence in nursing leadership.
